What are steps required to install App work other than port 8080

Hello,

I am using Jenkins for port 8080. I want to install Appwork in my local machine.
I changed server.xml file of apache-tomat to port : 8086 but that didnot work to start the app.
Can someone help me what are the steps required to install appwork other than port 8080

Hi Usha,

That is interesting, when deploying the OTAG installer to Tomcat, AppWorks should pick up any Tomcat port that it was assigned to. Just double checking if you can browse to the tomcat url:8086 to begin with?

not working at all. Someone also posted today saying if he type localhost:8080 getting 404 error message. Even for me when i go to localhost:8086 getting 404 error but when i type localhost:8086/gateway and enter username: otag password: otag getting internal server error.

Your issues seems with the tomcat itself rather than with AppWorks. I just installed brand new Tomcat and AppWorks in port 8081 with no issue, the only thing you need to change is under /gateway/#settingsTab OTAG Server URL, my only thinking is probably that port has been used by other apps. Could you try a brand new tomcat instance in different port on the same machine?
