Download a document selecting using a Content Server UI Widget

We are trying to build an integration using the Content Server UI Widget 10.0 - TargetPickerDialogWidget and have been able to successfully identify the node id for the document that we want using the widget but we do not have access to the API SDK and do not know the API call to download the document. I am assuming that this is a simple API GET call but we do not know the required format and it could be more complicated.

The content download API was released with the first version of the CS REST API:

GET /api/v1/nodes/:id/content

You need to send an authenticatoin header; OTCSTicket, for example. MIME type of the document is returned in the Content-Type header, its size in the Content-Length header.
