TinyMCE error - parent.getDcrMainWindowRef is not a function

The TinyMCE was just working and then after for some reason it stopped working and the whole textarea is greyed out you do not the see the toolbars either.

It has something to do with with this error which I'm not to sure about

parent.getDcrMainWindowRef is not a function

The custom_config.js and custom_content.css seems to be right as well. These two files are working on another server so I just copied the same things to the server I'm working on and it worked fine and after a while it stopped working stating the error above.

Could this issue be about permissions should root be group for these files or daemon be the group ownership of files like tiny_mce_src.js, tiny_mce.js, etc...

I'm getting the same error here. How did you solve this problem?

To be more specific, after using MS-Script Debugger I traced down the error to tiny_mce_src.js

function getOuterDoc()
{
return parent.getDcrMainWindowRef()._getOuterDoc();
}

The actual error on IE is: Object does not support this property or method.

BTW: I just installed TeamSite 6.7.1 - Service Pack 1
Platform: Windows 2003 - SP1

After serveral tries in trying to debug and fix the situation I reinstalled TeamSite and it worked after. There were many other problems not just the tinyMCE I was having. So I did fresh re-install and resolved all the problems.

However, I was not able to solve why it was doing that in the first place because orginially it was working and the next day it wasn't and no one changed a thing so I'm not sure why it wasn't working

It could probably have been a browser caching issue if you had just upgraded. Sometimes clearing the browser cache does magic!
