App Works Setup

Hi,

I am trying to set up appworks gateway but getting this warning.

Unable to Determine Gateway Host
Setup has been unable to determine the host name of your installation's host.

To remedy this ensure the host in your browser address bar is the fully qualified DNS name for your gateway server. Alternatively, though not particularly user-friendly, you may use the IP address of your gateway server.

Supplied server name:

Has anyone got this screen? Also, configure database connection and configure otds is greyed out.

Hi Alok,

When accessing the setup, are you using http://localhost:8080 perchance? If so you can't do this and have to use the faully qualified address like http://appworks.acme.com:8080.

Hi Alok,

I got same issue. And when I use the fully qualified address like http://appworks.acme.com:8080/gateway , it just display a blank page. Have you fix this issue?

Have a look in your gateway log file and you will see what hostname the gateway got from the host on startup

You will see a log line like this

2017-10-29 09:09:46,9202017-10-29T09:09:46,920 [localhost-startStop-1] INFO otag.util.HostContainer - Used InetAddress to resolve host xxxxx.opentext.com

Does that match the address you are trying in the browser ?

Also does the IP work ?
