AppWorks 16.2.1 Desktop client not working

Hi,

I am not able to connect to AppWorks Gateway using Desktop client.
I can login but after that it always fails with below error.

Unable to connect at this time.
There appears to be an internet or server connection issue.

Any suggestions?

So you see the OTDS login page in the desktop client and can login ?

Is your AppWorks server running the default oAuth2 login flow ( default in AppWorks 16.2.1 )

Can you hit the login url in a browser on the same machine as where you have the desktop client installed and add the output here or mail it to me direct ?

e.g.

http://your-appworks-server:port/v3/admin/auth/loginurl

loginUrl and clientId. So could u tell me what I have to do next?

Quick test

On the machine where you are running the desktop client can you load your login url in a desktop browser

http://mounika.dev:8080/otdsws/login

If that works you should see the OTDS login page , proxied via AppWorks Gateway , and be able to login

I am able to login but desktop client is giving the same error as unable to connect at this time and I cant see the app library

I can login without issue via browser but am getting the error when trying with desk-top client.

Hi,
I'm facing same issue like @Darrell. http://gateway:8080/otdsws/login works, but not able to access through desktop or mobile client. Kindly let us know the necessary steps to be done as early as possible.

May i ask - do any of you have any desktop apps installed on the Gateway - there is a known issue whereby if you don't then you will receive the error you are seeing.

No I dont have any desktop apps, Even though I upload a package in Desktop apps, it gets added to "Apps" folder only. Desktop apps is empty.

Then that is the reason you are getting errors on the dekstop client. In your app.properties file make sure this line is in there:

type=desktop,app

That should make sure it shows up in the desktop.

yes, its working now !!! But in mobile client, It gets connected to the server and login page appears, but credentials are failing.
error => "unable to sign-in you may have entered incorrect username or password". Tried with all possible users and right credentials.

Yes it is the latest client, I'm using v-16.2.204.
server URL => http://192.168.0.145:8080/#/

As I tried with all the available credentials, is there anything to be configured in OTDS ?

http://192.168.0.145:8080 is all that is necessary - no need for the #/. Try this... if that fails - can you put this url into the mobile browser and see if the AWG is reachable?

error => SERVER NOT FOUND, Please ensure the server URL entered is correct...

I think another thing to mention here is what is the DNS of the machine you're connecting to and the DNS address of the OTDS Server.

Go to the Admin UI, check the Settings and please check the Gateway URL you have. This URL should be accessible from the mobile client. The OTDS URL passed back from the gateway login endpoint has to be reachable. Using the IP address is not going to work out here...

I'm using the inbuilt OTDS server, running in same machine.
