iwodhelper missing & content.iwmf.xml has .new ext

I'm a little confused about something with the reference implementation of teamportal for jetspeed.

The docs and the deployment scripts refer to an "iwodhelper" file that is supposed to be in the bin directory of opendeploy on the receiver end.

What led me to this point was that the content.iwmf.xml file necessary for the content browser portlet was never ending up with the correct name and instead I was getting a file content.iwmf.xml.new.

Does anyone have any clues on these 2 problems and how, if at all, they may be related?

something strange must have happened with the installer -- iwodhelper was missing, but I grabbed a copy from another installation and it seems to have fixed the problem.

is there still supposed to be a content.iwmf.xml.bak hanging out in iwargent\web-inf\iwconf\\content\argent after the deploy?
