TS 16.6 JBoss requires internet access to deploy

Working with support.

TS 16.6 on Linux, iw-cc.war and eventsubsystem.war fail to deploy if they do not have external (port 80) access. That is the norm here

There seems to be 2 issues, one is trying to download XSD from www.springframework.org - that was a know issue and a jar update took care of it. Still on my system iw-cc does not deploy, with an NPE. Support has not reproduced that yet.

Will update when this gets resolved.

  • Update, patch was made available from support. Contact them if you plan on rolling out 16.6, it will likely be put into and mega-patch. It is unlikely that 16.6 will work for many users as most server have to go through a proxy to get outside access and that will likely fail.

  • Andy, we ran into the same issue - this 16.6 install is a pain. the spring framework wont validate/run (basically killing TS) until we allowed internet access from the server to the below domains.

    http://www.springframework.org/*
    http://www.w3.org/*

  • Yea it was a pain. There is a patch that you can get from support. There is zero chance here that we could get those ports opened in the firewall.

And yes 16.6 is a pain in general. I understand that they needed to unbundle java, but it was tricky to get going.
