Notifications email customization

Hi all, I would like to know if is possible to customize the body of the email generated for the notifications in Worksite Web.

I would like to change the layout of the email, the logos, etc.

Notification email customization is extremely limited. You can change the message in the Global Options UI. You can change the logo and the logo href by manually modifying options.xml, but that's all you can change. We don't provide a way to modify the actual HTML for the messages.

You have two choices for modifying the logo: a) Replace /images/header.jpg with your company's logo. b) Modify options.xml to point to a new image.

If you go with choice (a), then all notifications will use the new image. If you go with choice (b), you have more flexibility in customizing the image per notification item (task assignment, document import, document removal, etc.). However, any pre-existing notifications will still reference the old header.jpg.

To modify options.xml:

• Open <worksite_install>/data/options.xml in an xml editor.
  
• Search for "<notification>". This is the node that contains all of the notification messages.
  
• For each child notification element, change the link/@href attribute to your URL. This is the url that is associated with the header image in the email notification.
  
• [Optional]For each child notification element, change the img/@src attribute to a new image that resides in <wsw_install>/images directory. You can also replace header.jpg with a new image.
