Basic query

Hi Guys,

I have a fundamental query on metadata form.
I have n number of ruleset targeting to unique Vpath and for each ruleset I have defined my form layout. In datacapture.cfg one of the ruleset calls inline command to populate the values. Since the input arguments for the PERL script is incorrect, I am getting error message when I perform TAG operation.

Also the above scenario is faced irrespective of the VPATH directed for a ruleset.
I wanted to know whether the whole datacapture.cfg is parsed irrespective of ruleset?

I believe the answer to your question, as empirical evidence seems to support - is "yes" - the entire datacapture.cfg is parsed - irrespective of ruleset. I believe this also makes sense as the rulesets are only part of the parsing operation and are likely (though not definitely) applied at the end of the parsing process - so that inlines and such are processed first to ensure a "complete" DCT is in memory before it is then filtered by ruleset(s) to be rendered via the GUI

I got it, and felt the same as per your explanation.. But still I have a question in my mind. Why the design for this template has been done, to parse all the fields irrespective of the rule set.. From my understanding, I see this has to be changed.....
Please correct me if I am wrong.
