Content search in DCR

Hi All,

I have a requirement from business where in I need to search for a specif URL in my DCR. The DCR list is 6000+ and unfortunately we don't have DB deployment. Also we don't have TS search configured in our application. Env details : TS6.7.1 Solaris 10
The inital thought to get the report on DCR list is write a PERL code to navigate into the branch folders, open the DCR and perform a search on it.
Apart from this approach, do you guys faced such scenario and do you have ny suggestion or this case..
Appreciate your help on this.

You are thinking in the right direction.Write a Perlscript to search through the files.Atleast I did this way.

It all comes done to "is this a one-of search or will you perform this search more often".

If 1: write a script in any language that scans the files
If 2: build an index yourself, store it somewhere (let's say a database :-) and search the index. But in this case I would install and use ts-search.
