Directory Access Issue

Hi All,

I am facing one problem on providing directory access on a teamsite folder to one user.
User is provided Editor account on teamsite server and also new workarea has been cretaed. He is the owner of his workarea. Inside workarea he is provided previleges to some folders to access.
For one folder he is added to a group alias still he is not able to access that folder.
Strange thing is that the workarea and that folder are shared for the same group. If he is able to access workarea then he must be able to access that folder also.
Please suggest me what could be the issue here.

Please provide the env details like TS version, OS, LDAP version and others..
Have you checked this WA with any other user?

Does the system use any ADS server for maintaining your group info?
If you are able to acess, it means are you an editor or master?
are you able to simulate this issue in any other WA in same branch?
In my previous query, "user" term refer to any active TS user belonging to the group.

I would try the following :

1. Get the user to create a file in the root of the workarea and check they can amend the file.

2. Get the user to create a folder and then a file in the folder, seeing if they can edit the file.

3. Log onto the server with Remote desktop and take note down the permsions of the folder, the one that has the problem, and post back to this forum.

Also have the files/directories been suibmitted as your submit.cfg could be changing the permissions. A way to test this is create a file and then run iwtestcfg aginst the file, as this will inform you of the persmissions that will be applied.
