HelloI have a replicant check box item called show_abstract and by default this is checked. I want if user unchecks this checkbox at any time, so underneath all the child items check boxes should be uncheck.please find the code in the attachment.ThanksSalim
You mean all the checkboxes under the 'subsection_headlines' container should be unchecked?You need to loop thru all replicants and mark each instance of checkbox as UNCHECK. I hope you are not looking out for code written for you?
Yes, I am looking for the code / example and that can help me. I am not a hard code programmer. recently jumped into this.

You stupid jerk,If you dont have the solution, keep your mouth shut.You are not the moderator of Devnet and writing a TS certified professional at undersign does not make you so impressive. There are tons of in this devnet. Learn something from the rest devnet fellows like Adam Stoller.Devnet is a place where all can share there bugs and suggestions.your are such a jerk and dumb.
var server = window.location.hostname;var inPreview = false;function init(){ IWEventRegistry.addItemHandler("/subsection_headlines/show_abstract","onItemChange", setCheckbox);}function setCheckbox(){ alert ("This is a begining in the function Alert" ) var paraParent = IWDatacapture.getItem("/subsection_headlines/show_abstract").getValue(); var paras = paraParent.getChildren(); var paraCount = paras.length; for (j=1; j<=paraCount; j++) { alert ("This is a inside for loop" ) var paraItem = IWDatacapture.getItem("/subsection_headlines[" + j + "]/show_abstract"); var paraText = paraItem.getValue(); if(paraText.checked == abstract) {paraItem.setValue = true; } else {paraItem.setValue = false; } }return true;}IWEventRegistry.addFormHandler( "onFormInit" , init );

Whats wrong with you. ? Did you read what that chetansethi written in his / her post. If not, look for the help nearby who can translate in your native language.Going fw, chetansethi - you should not seek any help on devnet. You are good enough.
Thanks for the advice Rojar... I anyways wont seek advice from a bunch of people who claim to be such experts but lack the basic etiquettes of talking (read r_g).
IWItem.getOptions ();
if (options.checked)
Thanks PawanStill this is not working. Could you check my datacapture and form api and let me know, what i miss in that.
function setCheckbox(){ var paraParent = IWDatacapture.getItem("/section/headlines_ap_mods/subsection_headlines").getChildren().length;alert ("This is a begining in the function Alert" )alert ("This is a Childern Length "+paraParent )for (j=1; j<=paraParent; j++){alert ("This is a inside for loop" )var paraItem [] = IWDatacapture.getOptions("subsection_headlines[" + j + "]/show_abstract");var paraText = paraItem.getValue(); alert ("first check box value :- " + paraText ) if (paraText.checked) { alert ("Pata text is :- " + paraText ) break; } else { paras.setValue = false; }}return true;}
Try using IWItem.getOptions (); This would return you an array or javascript options. You can then check if the element is checked and do the needful. if (options.checked)
