How to Know current active Task or Jobs.

Hi All,

I am a newbee to teasite and workflow modeller.
I want to know that, how can I check whethe a dcr is currently associate with any running workflow.

I have one idea like get all running task and get all files associated with that task. But I don't know how to get all running tasks Smiley Sad

Please help me out Smiley Happy

You can simply use iwgetfilejobs CLT to get all the jobs/tasks which are associated with a particular dcr.

Use the CLT iwgetfilejobs passing the filepath as param.

This CLT will give you the job id along with all task Ids... with which the file is attached to.

If you're doing this as part of an externaltask or cgitask script - make a note of the current jobid / taskid - so you can filter that out - as it will also be included in the output.

Run the clt "iwgetwfobj" without any flag and you will get a list of all Job and Tasks.
This is how I find out all the WF Job/Tasks.

I am using this as a external task. Know I need to put the output back to workflow. I have no idea how to use callbacks... can some body please make a simple note how to use call backs with external task so that I can use the output of command in my workflow....

You have to do a callback to the successors of the external task depending on the success/failure state of your external task.
Please refer to the manuals provided by IWOV for the use of callback.

$task->CallBack(number, "Transition Comment");

Here, the number can be any whole number depending on your successor to be chosen.

What i understood from your post is that you also want to use the info in any of your subsequest task.

If yes, then you need to store the values in any flat file or an xml file... depending on your requirements.

In a flat file, you can use File System handling in Perl line OPEN and CLOSE commands, however for XML you need to define your DTD / Schema and use XML DOM to read or write in the file.

You can even use job/task variable to save the info needed for the next task to decide its successor(s).
