Worksite Communication Server

Hi all,
I'm reading the Worksite Communication Server documentation for lotus Notes, but I can't understand exactly how it works.

I see that it can take the email messages and file them in Worksite.
I can't understand if the user gets a copy of this email in his inbox or is only alerted that a new mail have been filed in worksite.

It will let users effortlessly file e-mails (new & existing from a pst or nsf) into
virtual engagement,matter or project folders in the WorkSite repository, where all related documents are already stored. As a result, all e-mail correspondence and related documents are stored in context, in a single, central and searchable location that can be accessed by anyone with rights to the content.

You also have the ability to save e-mails in either Outlook or Notes native file formats and of course automation/customization are possible too.
