Workflow model deploy task

Hi,
I have to use deploy task to deploy the content some environments and i wanted to use the TS provided deploy script for the same.

If the deployment is successful, then i want to proceed with next task.
If the deployment fails, then i need to notify a group and also assign the task to that group to resolve issues.

My problem is that deploy task does not support success and failure links, does the TS provided script will return some sort of code to reflect if deployment was a failure or success. Also how can i use this value in the workflow model to determine success and failure.

Can I use workflow variables for the same, if yes how do i assign and the returned code to it.

I am pretty new to workflow model and could not get good documentation which can provide clarity on how to use workflow variables etc.

Please help.

use two default links for the purpose. The first link will be a success and second will be a failure.

above would be automatic for you. You do not need to do anything else to detect success and failure

ohh k, thanks a bunch and I shall try the same tomorrow. One more related question, if i do not use TS provided deployment script but my custom, then also would it be the same or I need to do handle with that explicitly.

I saw some very frequent posts by you rergarding workflow model. Seems you have pretty good knowledge on workflow model and I am struggling with that.

If possible could you please also reply to my one more post regarding the "Workflow model validation".

If you use your own script, you need to callback(0) for success and callback(1) for failure from your script explicitly..

I personally recommend the Iwov provided script..it has been well taken care of
