Orange screen issue

We have upgraded to TS 671 from TS 61. Within the dcrs we are still making use of visual format and not tiny mce.

Problem is:
Within replicants we are making use of Visual format.
You are toggling between visual format enabled text area.
Initially everything works fine but after a while you get an orange screen within the visual format enabled text area and there after it doesnt allow to enter anything on the dcr.

In some machines the Internet explorer crashes. In certain other cases it allows you to save the affected dcr. Reopening the same dcr after a while allows you to edit but the orange screen issue reappear after some time.

Have someone observed such orange screen issues around Visual format in TS 671?

What IE version are you using?
Can you post a screen shot? This issue is unheard for me.

Does this happen to some DCRs or all DCRs? I've seen other weird stuff with VFE but not specifically this issue. If it happens to some DCRs then it could be because that the html code in that VFE field in those affected DCRs is causing it.

I've seen text spilling over the VFE field and text disappearing when you start to edit it. Both times, it was because the html in that field was malformed.

If it happens for everything, then try removing your custom VFE configuration and see if it still happens.

Custom visual format config xml which works ideally in 61 is getting used in the Teamsite 671 environment after upgrade.
The folder in which the config files are residing were moved to /httpd/iw.
Ideally the config file which didnt have an issue in 61 should work in 671 version,once when they are moved to /httpd/iw/customfolder.

Nirmal, pls provide the below information or you can also validate at your end -

Server OS
Server JVM version
Client OS
Client Browser and Version
Client JVM version

Compare these with the supported platforms

I am linking this issue with the bugs fixed in TS 671 SP1 on crosschecking the 671SP1 release notes: 70966,69758
