workflow model not able to execute perl script

Hi,

I guess this is my 7th or 8th post regarding workflow model and this does not seem to be ending becuase of the number of issues I am facing.

I am using workflow model 1.0.0.1 and TS 6.7.1 SP1 on solaris 10.

As per the workflow model webcast and the documentation they say we can call either JAVA or any language code in the pre and post process command. I am successfully able to execute JAVA class (thats a different story that it is of no use which i have listed in my other posts) but not perl

As per the documentation we can specify like
path to the program that can execute your custom code path to your
custom code (executable/script)

//TS_Server/iw-home/bin/perl c:/test.ipl

What I am giving is
//apps/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl /apps/iw-home/local/scripts/hello.ipl
or
/apps/iw-home/iw-perl/bn/iwperl /apps/iw-home/local/scripts/hello.ipl

all possible combinations give me the same error

6100024Workflow Command [Pre/Post] did not return correct value. Correct the error.

If i execute the same script from command line it works fine.

Has anyone faced this earlier, if yes please help me out. Even if not any comments what I am missing here.

Hi,
Can you check whether you have the following command at end of your ipl file.

$task->CallBack(0, "Job Done");
exit;
--------------

Hmm, Thanks for the reply Reghu. But I am trying to call this ipl script as a preprocess command in the workflow model so I do not have any job or tasks created yet.

I have used exit 1 though.

Here is the sample script:

my $testVar = $ARGV[0];
print $testVar;
if($testVar eq "vpath"){
exit 0;
}
else{
print "I am here";
exit 1;
}

In that case, the issue should be within your script... It has nothing to do with workflow modeller.

There is no issue with the script, as i mentioend earlier I am able to execute the script if I do it form command line.

It looks like the issue is that the workflow model engine is expecting a certain value or kind of value that the Perl script is not returning.

Can you provide a manual reference for what you're trying to accomplish?
