iwmigrate

kal30

We are trying to migrate iw-store from our development server to our production server. We followed the knowledge base article 50601.

The migration fails with scf-submitFSE failed error. We get the message cannot free COM objects .

It does say that it has copied close to 23000 files. But the end message is iwmigrate failed.

Please let me know what I should be looking into.

Thank you

In addition to providing the information already requested (previous response) - you should definitely have a support case open any time you're dealing with issues that affect the backing store (such as this)

I have a case open. My OS is windows 2003; both ts versions are 6.7.1

If your dev and prod server are the same version then I do not think you need to use iwmigrate. iwmigrate is for migrating backing store from one version to the other. Are you trying to split your backing store may be?

The KB article that you pointed out says:

"When migrating the content to TeamSite 5.5 or 6.1, it is possible to migrate a specific branch and not the whole Y: Drive, using a combination of iwmigrate and iwidmap. This article is not applicable in migrating the store from a lower version of TeamSite to TeamSite 6.50 (or higher) since it uses a different protocol."

It is recommended that iwmigrate should always/only be run with support's assistance.
