Non OS-User in 6.7.1 SP1

As you all know by now that SP1 supports non-OS users. My initial thought was that you can create a non-OS user from within TeamSite (TeamSite will have it's own database) . But looks like that's not the case. Non-OS users that are referred here are the users that exist outside the system where TS is installed.

To brief a little more, first you need to create a user in an external source like LDAP or any third party application. Then add an entry in TeamSite user_database.xml file for authentication and only then you can add a non-OS user into TeamSite using the Administration tab or CLT.

This was one of the features I was looking forward, anyways bad luck . This is just an FYI for those are searching for how to add non-OS users

When announced at GearUp in May, it was always indicated that the accounts would have to be in LDAP or equivalent - they were just not required to be created on the server at the OS-level (hence non-OS users as opposed to TS-users ... in contrast to OS-groups and TS-groups)

Sorry it wasn't what you were looking for - but it is what was advertised as far as I can tell.
