File lock by author in Review task.

I use Editor to assign a task to Author, then login as Author to open the task, and create a new content. After Author submit the content to Review, the files still lock by author, reviewer can't make any changes to the file. I am expecting it will be lock by reviewer (which is editor in this case).

Can someone tell me what's wrong there?

Check your locking model .
This problem is related to your locking model .Either update your locking model or write external task in which unlocka the file.

I realized this problem only happen when I change the email_reviewer task owner from $iw_author to $email_sender.

Sorry, I forget to explain the background of this.

This was all start from Hard code email address in ccmail_header.tpl not work where I need to use a constant email address in sending workflow notification email, and it end up with changing the email task owner.

so I map the administrator email address in email_map.cfg.

and change the task owner to Administrator.

so the email will be send out using the constant email address. but it leads to this problem.

OK back to the problem. I have tested repeatly changing the owner properties, and the result shows that when I set the owner to $email_sender, somehow the file will be locked by author in review task, and when I set the owner to $iw_author, the file will lock by the reviewer.

transferonly => TRUE,

I had tried that, but doesn't work.

my $email_sender = 'S01TDI123\Administrator';

looks weird but I would not trust single back slashes in perl. try changing the above statement to :

my $email_sender = 'S01TDI123\\Administrator';

also have
lock => TRUE,
transferonly => TRUE,

for email task when you try this.

That's incorrect. It must be either:

'S01TDI123\Administrator' ( Single quotes, literal String, not escaped slash. Equivalent is q(same String) ) OR
"S01TDI123\\Administrator" ( Double quotes, evaluated String, escaped Slash. Equivalent is qq(same String) )
