List of Users

Hi I want to display a list of users in a dropdown while assigning a task in a workflow.

I am using new work flow modeller.
How can I do this by using perl or clt's.

You can use TAG Info to populate the list of approvers. It would be something like below..


my($approver_list) = get_names_from_file(undef, 1, undef, "$roles/project_approver.uid");

TAG_info(
         project_approver =>
         [ html  => $approver_list,
           label => "Select Approver",
         ],
);

Is the code being provided, works with TS 6.7.1 Workflow modeller as well??

I have not checked with TS 6.7.1 but it works with TS 6.5 Smiley Happy

Achin , I want to display the list of TS User when in the instantiation form. This should be in a drop down list. I have to pic the all user's from the TS only.

so that assignment can be done for a selected user.

On instantiation of the workflow, call a script which reads out tsusers.xml file and return with you the list of users as per your requirement.

I can only provide you the concept as of now, as i have not yet started coding completely on TS 6.7.1

I am using TS 6.7.1

I believe that for 6.7.1 WFM you do the instantiation customizations in either Java or javascript - I don't believe you can use Perl there.

If you want to delay the selection of users until after the job has been instantiated - using a cgitask script - then you can use Perl for the cgitask script, and I believe you can use the existing TeamSite::WFworkflow and TeamSite::WFtask modules for that code.

Since you are using WFM, you need to write a custom instantiation form.. just as you write your DCT...To do this, you need to run a IW provided perl script on default_config.xml file of your ipm and obtain a custom_instantiation file.

Once through, you can write an inline as you would for a datacapture form. I strongly suggest here to go through the WFM Guide and you should find all the information there...But that is the way to start..

Since WFM is new, I do not know if everything will work just fine but I would expect everything to work just fine..
