Append an XML data

I have an issue with "append" in ostream.For 'N' number of DCR's there must be 'N' number of entries in XML. Am generating this Xml in ostream tag. When i set append='t', all the Xml datas gets appened. Whereas i need only one set of tags in the Xml to be appended each time. Can anyone suggest a solution for this issue?
