Schedule Deployment

Hii Guys,
m new to OD., OpenDeploy does provide a scheduler but it schedules an entire content deployment - so i want to do a selected files deployment i have to schedule the deployment with the selected filelist only.
Is it possible...?

If yes, can you explain me tht how to approach to resolve ths issue....

Any help will be most appreciated.

Hello,

Interwoven does provide Filelist based deployments. For this type of deployment, you need to mention the list of files in a flat file and then provide the reference of this file in your OD config. The flat file contains the path of the files to be deployed. Once this is done, you can schedule the deployment for this OD config.

For details please go through the OD Admin PDF.

how to create flat file for the list of files for filelist deployment.. what will be the extension of ths file & where it will be placed? can we deploy any type of file(.htm,.pdf,.jpeg) through filelist deployment?
can u post the sample file.

If you are using a workflow, then you can also have an external task which inturn calls iwodstart command and the task can be activated at a scheduled time after a dummy task.

The flat-file can be named anything you want and located anywhere you want - there are no requirements regarding its name, extension or location.

The contents of the flat-file should be paths to files, one per line, where the path specified is relative to the source-area and path specification within the deployment configuration's deployment definition.

E.g.: You have the following list of files to deploy:

You could set the source-area to "/A/B/C/D" and the path specification to "." - and then your flat-file would contain:harpo.txtE/chico.aspgroucho.htmlF/zeppo.cgiOr you could set your source area to "/A/B/C" and set the path specification to "./D" and use the exact same file list as above.While the paths specified are relative to the source-area + path for determining the source of the files to deploy - they are also relative to the target-area too. Using the examples from above - if you set your source area to "/A/B/C/D" with path="." and your target area to "/X/Y/Z" the resultant files will be:/X/Y/Z/harpo.txt/X/Y/Z/groucho.html/X/Y/Z/E/chico.asp/X/Y/Z/F/zeppo.cgiOkay?

One more thing i want to set schedule for different batch file(say 3 different batch file) BEFORE executing any schedule deployment for different schedule(say 3 different schedule time) through 1 deploy config file... is it possible?
if yes what is the way to approach to achieve this?
plz guide me...
