creating template newbie

hi,
i take my first steps into teamsite. the problem is that i don't have access to a lot of documentation. i try to use the form publisher

so i would have a basic question:

i opened "templatedata" and made a copy of folder "about" (renamed it to "test)

about
data
presentation
datacapture.cfg

now when i go to File->New Form entry i get the following error message "
ERROR : - Unable to create new form of type general/en under the branch //...ersity/ . This form was not configure for this branch or you do not have permission to access it."

has it something to do with "templating.cfg"? where can i find this file?

Yes, it has everything to do with "templating.cfg".

The file is located in "iwhome/local/config" Folder, you have to register your templating types in it. That said, you have
IMO only few options here. Get TS Documentation and some training or hire somebody who knows this stuff. If you think
you can do it by few quick trials and errors + DevNet Q/A Sessions, think again
