Teamsite template error

I've got a strange error, I'm wondering if anyone can help. There are a couple of templates that I can't access from within one branch. They don't appear in the list when I select File -> New Form Entry; if I browse to templatedata/content/custommarkup and select File -> New Form Entry from there I get the error:

Unable to create a new form of type content/custommarkup under the branch. This form was not configured for this branch or you do not have permission to access it.

The templates exist and I have used them; they just suddenly stopped working at some point. I can't access them from any pc. Other people, however, can use them just fine.

Any ideas?

If others can use the same tempalte on the same branch, then there is a permissions issue with the folder structure or the DCT itself.

If no one can use that template on that branch, then the templating.cfg file is not allowing it.

I created the branch, and am an editor within it; also, I am a master. If anyone should have permissions to use it, it really should be me. And I was able to use it previously.

That is not my question.

If NOBODY can change the templates, then templating.cfg may have a branch list restriction that does not include your branch.

It is also possible that for some reason you do not have permission to read the DCT.

Being a Master will not help if the perms are set wrong or if templating.cfg does not allow that template type on that branch.

Post your section of templating.cfg for that template as well as your username and branch name.

Aha - solved it. The problem was that I was in two AD groups - one with editor access, and one with author. If you are in two groups, Teamsite seems to take the one with most restrictive permissions, rather than the one with more access. I've taken myself out of the author group and I now have access to the templates again.
