For our requirement we have to push incremental builds of editions at frequent intervals. Can any one suggest an alternative approach to queuing other than "pend sessions" which also saves on time

Your requirements aren't really clear - do you have a bunch of deployments at one time that you want to queue up sequentially (in which case a simple script could be used to launch a deployment, wait until it's done, and then launch the next one) - or is it something else?
