Moving assets to new system

Hi,

We have recently upgraded to MB461 from 451 on a new machine. Since we have upgraded, some assets are added or modified on the previous machine. Is there anyway we can retrieve these assets from that machine and move them to the new system.
Any pointers in this regard would be of great help.

No, we dont.

Assuming that you will be able to search for these assets in your 4.5 system based on date or something, create a retrieval task with just XML encoder and use that task to export out all the added/modified assets. You can then import them into your new system. I am not sure if there is a way to maintain the folder structure. Assuming that the folder structure cannot be maintained or figured out the only other option that I can think of is writing a script that will keep track of the folder structure and importing it accordingly into your new system.

I tried adding some images manually but still I am getting the same error while previewing images -
"Requested Asset is Unavailable".
And preview is working for those DCRs for which images are already there.

Is your question whether you can move assets from one MB to another and have links from TeamSite still work? This is not going to be possible as moving an asset to a new MediaBin does not preserve its identifier. Upgrading a MediaBin "in place" does.
