Copy folders and documents between projects

Hi,
i'm looking for a way to move things around easily. i think the bulk loader would work if there was a way to export folder structures and documents first. There must be some way to move large projects around...?

Have you looked at writing you own WOM application to do the job?

Worksite Object Modeler I assume? No, I haven't. I was hoping the functionality already existed...

Not sure if this will help in your case but you can export a Project to a local file and then create a new one from that file. Everything in the original one should be in the new one. Go to "Edit Properties" for a Project and one of the actions near Save and Cancel should be "Download Template". Click on it, save the file locally. Go to create a new project and then use the file you just saved.

Also, I think 5.0 has better support for copying containers (directories) across the library.

BTW, WOM: WorkSite Object Model. It's the API for accessing a CMS Server.

alright, i'll look into this. BTW, we're using MP 4.1 currently.

user decided to go ahead and manually copy files before i could get back. i am now aware of at least how to move projects within workspaces. turns out i was using the wrong admin account and the menu option was not available. thanks for the help anyway.
