Add User with LDAP search (TS 6.7.1)

Hi Folks,

I have a problem with the LDAP integration of TS 6.7.1 SP1 on Windows 2003 SP2.

If I want to add a user to Teamsite its no problem from the System where Teamsite is installed, but the tab "LDAP Browse" is disabled.

How can I enable the LDAP search ?

Would be great if someone knows a solution.

I have the same problem but I am using UNIX. I see it in the user list but my LDAP search is ghosted out.

Yes I read it. But inside this document is NO description about how to enable the "LDAP browse" tab. If I missed it, just tell me.

I hope someone can help me further with that problem, because our customer needs that feature.

Yes its the content center tab. We still have this problem.

Maybe someone knows a solution for that now.

Hi Folks,

I found the problem. the server we are using has no basedn. But in the iwtrace.log is an error message:

"dnBase is a required attribute for ldap record ldap1"

Here is the configuration:

is there any chance to tell teamsite that this server doesn't require a base DN ???

does anybody tried setting Email while adding user from LDAP?.Tried setting email using CLT and getting error "ERROR:00048: Operation not supported"
How does the email work?.Do we need to always query from LDAP profile?

We are able to integrate with LDAP and authentication working as expected. But couple of Issues sofar.
1. When we search user from LDAP and add we are not able to set email to the user.When we enter also in TS UI it does not set.
2. Can search the users in "Search" tab. But "LDAP Browse" does not show the list of users

So far trying the manually adding users using TS Administration tab.Not tried the LDAP sync yet.
Not added any additional attributes to LDAP schema yet.Is it mandatory to add ??
Please let me know anyone successfully completed this scenario...

we have the same email problem here. At the moment we have a support ticket open. maybe they can fix the issue.

after talking to support we were able to resolve one issue
1. When we search user from LDAP and add we are not able to set email to the user.When we enter also in TS UI it does not set.

Resol: 1. we have to have mail attribute in LDAP schema
2. It is mandatory to specify in user_databases.xml

We are not able to add users to teamsite server using search functionality in the administration tab.

This functionality was working fine earlier.

The problem is same on both the servers(dev and prod)

Trace log error is:
IWADSI::GetDomain: Failed to bind to directory root.
IWADSI: Failed to get pointer to LENOVO root object.

Please help.
