Using Workspace templates on WSMP 5 SP1

I am trying to using pre-defined workspace templates.

Everything works fine whilst I am using the default CDM application set, (ie the templates appear in a list when I go to create a new workspace). However once I switch to a custom application set the templates dissapear even if nothing has yet been changed in the set.

Anyone got this working yet with SP1 ?
