File Import and Associated Metadata values

Version: TS 6.7.1
OS : Solaris

Hi,

I attach extended attributes to files like JSP,PDF and others via metadata form. When I import (via TeamSite UI) an updated version of the same PDF file that exist in TeamSite with the same file name, it removes the attached meta-data values in TeamSite.

Any idea, why I loose the meta-data ?

I can still upload the file via windows explore ( nfs ) and retain the meta-date. But just wondering why I loose when I do it via TeamSite UI. Most of my TeamSite user are only comfortable using TeamSite UI for file upload.

you lose you metadata because that is the way TS behaves out of the box.
