Copy issue

Hi All,

Thanks in advance. I am trying to copy a file to the Y:. But the file is not getting copied to the destination. Could anyone help me on this ? Below mentioned is my code. The code works if the destination is on

and see what error you get.

Most likely it is a permissions issue.

How are you running this script? - From a command prompt window, or from a workflow, or through some other means...?

Is it safe to assume you're running it on a TeamSite server?

You might try adding the strict and warnings pragmas and fix your code to declare your variables with

- though I admit it looks like it should work based solely on what I can see.

To echo Adam's Q how are you running this ? from the command line ? CGI ? WF ?

assuming you are running it from the command line, you do not see the message from die ? Then it *should* have worked.

Yeh you are right. Here is the error. The file is not getting copied and the folder does exists.

\iw-home\httpd\iw-bin\pl

Well that should help you debug, triple check the destination (since it sounds like the source works).

It may be a permissions issue, I am not certain how this is being invoked so it may *not* be impersonating the user.

You may want to import the show_env.ipl that is in httpd/iw-bin, use that to see what the username is that is really trying to run this copy and see if that user has the permission to copy into the dir. My guess it is at the workarea level.

Can we assume that the script is named "plc\td.ipl" or "pl....c\td.ipl" and that the newline was accidently embedded in the error output?

I would not be too quick to assume that it's the target that's the problem - If there is "no such file or directory" it could be the source path that is referencing the path incorrectly and thus cannot be copied - it's generally a good idea to include the actual source / target values in the error messages so you can verify them ...

True but in a previous post she said that it works when the destination is on
