two iwproxys?

Hey all,

Having some iwproxy issues. Running TS 6.7.1 SP1 on Solaris 10. For some reason the proxy is serving blank bodies for all content. Accessing directly via the customer web server works fine. When I check the iwproxy processes, I notice:

ps -ef | grep iwproxy
iwts 18807 18806 0 13:45:07 ? 0:08 /iw-home/bin/iwproxy
me 29519 28543 0 17:20:45 pts/3 0:00 grep iwproxy
iwts 18806 1 0 13:45:07 ? 0:00 /iw-home/bin/iwproxy

Should there really be two iwproxy processes running here?

Yea that is a not problem. They should be sitting on different ports, One is a child of the other.

Grand, worried there for a moment. Is it possible to stop the iwproxy server akin to net stop iwproxy && net start iwproxy on solaris or are we limited to iwreset -ui?

sure kill the parent (job 18806) and the child will leave as well. run it in debug: iwproxy -d and test it out.

Yes was thinking that, but I assume the only way to start the service as iwts is to then kill the debug and issue an iwreset -ui?

We are having an issue with our iwproxy, and on windows to give it a kick without affect other services net stop|start iwproxy logged in as admin worked fine, but on solaris is there any clean way to start it back up?

Start it via sudo - it should do the right thing when it spawns its child process
