When --exactly-- does tt_data kick off workflows?
tvaughan
Hi,
I'm running TS 5.0.1 on Solaris 2.8. The
first time
someone uses a DCT to create a DCR and then they generate an HTML page and click 'close', I have in my available_templates.cfg file a configuration that will kick off a deployment workflow.
Any
subsequent time
that someone goes back in that DCR and makes a small change or an edit, when they regenerate and click close, the DCT just closes and never prompts them to re-kick off the workflow.
This behavior isn't consistent, however! Sometimes, if they make a change, click save, click generate, and click close, the workflow will kick off. But because it is inconsistent, I don't know what to tell my users.
Has anyone else had this problem???
TIA,
Tom

What should be happening (and which I have verified in 5.5.2) is that you should only be prompted when you close the DCT *if* the DCT is *not* already associated with a job.
I.e. Close the DCT, get prompted, initiate a job, re-edit the DCT [previous job still exists], close DCT - no prompt. Re-edit the DCT, delete the previous job, close the DCT, you should get prompted to initiate a job.
See if that fits what you are experiencing.
