Greetings,

I am trying to clean up some of our logs and discovered a bunch of xml files in /[teamsite-home]/tmp.

Most of them take the form of 'task_output[TASK#].xml'. Some of these files go back years.

Can someone give me a newby brief on what kicks TS into creating these files, what is supposed to clean them up and a possibile reason or two of why they would not get cleaned out?

I want to delete everything older then a year, but want to see what is going on first.

They are mostly likely created via iw_solution_email.ipl which should (but probably doesn't) clean them up after the email has been successfully sent [and the script is not being run in debug mode].

Those files can be removed without causing any problems - however, you will continue to see new files like that created each time the script is called from a workflow.
