Project data

We have a site that reports data from an SAP source, that goes into an Oracle DW, then an extract from Domino .doc is published to a CLF compliant website. The workflow to get the data approved is quite detailed, but ultimately a web user needs to be able to slice and dice the presented data from the website. What TEAMSITE tool could I used to do this? I have seen third party tools that may give this ability, but am stumped where to look within the TeamSite offering.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Is anything supposed to get versioned in TeamSite? If not, it's questionable whether you want/need TS here at all.

You could create a Perl or Java (or some other language of your choosing) program to provide an interface to the entire process - but that's just a guess given that I don't really understand what you are, and want to be, doing.

Well, we publish data to the website that originates in SAP, as part of proactive disclosure about projects that are funded from a government agency.

There is quite a workflow involved, the project officers and program managers approve what gets published to the site and when. Currently, the project details get entered into SAP. An extract is done to the Oracle Datawarehouse nightly, and from there another subset is sent to a Notes Domino.doc DB. From here, the information is formatted etc, then published to the website after the approvals have been completed.
So, the question is, is there are tool that will allow us to either bypass the Oracle DW or Notes extracts, and publish to a TS template? Would there be an additional adapter required?

I guess I'm still not sure what you're asking. Are you trying to completely change the existing process and swap-out aspects of the current system to be replaced with Interwoven products - or are you trying to insert Interwoven products into a pre-existing system with (or without) altering the process from the user perspective?

If it's the former - you should probably contact an IWOV Sales Engineer to work with you on proposing solutions.

If its the latter - you need to do a lot more planning and designing on your end (because you have all the information, the context, the environment) before trying to ask such a broad-based question in an open forum (IMO).

If you're trying to find an existing tool that OOTB connects all of these different systems you are using - then I think the answer is "no" - it's going to involve custom coding - possibly a little, possibly a lot (probably closer to the latter)

My hope was that I would get a hint or tidbit that I could follow up on, but apparently, that isn't the case in this forum(IMO).
