Directory remap in customised Perl files

Hi

I have the following problem. Alot of our customised perl files specifically refer to the c: drive, for example open (LF, ">c:\\iw-home\\tmp\\myfile.txt");

Apart from rewritting all our files to use a different directory, is there another remapping activity that could occur at the Teamsite Perl interpreter level?

Any references to iwhome in your perl script should generally be through the use of the return value from TeamSite::Config::iwgethome() - the one exception is, unfortunately, the first line of the script (e.g.:

#!c:/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl

) - there are supposedly ways of dealing with this, but generally I've never bothered as that's a simple thing to fix if/when the path to iwhome ever changes.

There's nothing in Perl (that I can think of right now, anyway) that will dynamically map references to one path to be directives for another path - you either change the code or somehow alter the directory that's being referenced (on Unix that could be done by making a symlink so that iw-home/tmp/ actually pointed to some-other-dir/ -- Windows doesn't really support symlinks though)
