Same cateogry/data type in multiple branches

Hi,
I have a requirement of same category/data type name in two branches. They have diff fields. I want to show save button in one and save, preview in other one. Is it possible to do this in templating.cfg ?

Env: TS 6.5 SP2 on windows server 2003

If it is the same category and data-type - I do not believe there is any supported way to have different viewoptions based on the branch in which the particular DCT is being used.

You can use FormAPI to trap the Preview button click event in one of the DCTs so as to prevent it from performing that action (perhaps displaying an alert message indicating that it is intentionally deactivated in that branch?)

You can alter the category and/or data-type name so that they aren't identical in both branches - since you have other differences between them ("diff fields") - why use the same category and data-type name (on Unix you could differentiate with upper-lower-case lettering, I'm not sure if that will work on Windows).
