download In-Design files adds extension to file

I have an In-Design file in MB 4.6. example of the file name is test.indd

If I want to download it using the browser i have the option to add the extension to the file. If i chhoose yes the file name is now test.indd.indd, or if i choose not the file is test.indd but it is a unknown file type.

If I look at the Metadata I see that the file type is "unknown", so i guess this is why I may get this extra extension, but if I try it using the windows client I get it just find without the extra extension.

I asked the person who uploaded the file and they did it using the Mac client.

Should they have uses the In-Design plug-in for all .indd files, so as to downloading them will add the correct extension?
