I have following external task on workflow..its not working.

Why it doesn't work. I followed the training material and still doesn't work. Is it i am missing anything here.

Did you enter the email addresses in iwhome/local/config/wft/solutions/email_map.cfg ? This is an XML style email map.

Yes i do have email addresses on email_map.cfg file

This is the XML style email_map correct ? There are 2 and the one mentioned in iw.cfg is not used by this email program.

OK, what happens ? Does the WF stick at the email step ? Or does nothing happen ?

Is your pop server configured in iw.cfg ?

Edit the ipl: iw_solution_email.ipl and put it in debug mode, change line 68 to

$DEBUG=1;

and check the debug file (iwhome/tmp/iw_solutions_debug.log)

Does the WF complete ? Go to the WF tab of TS and view all jobs. Are there active jobs with tasks defined Group Review Notify ?

You turned on debug and nothing was placed in the log ?

Nothing is there in log. Last stuff i have is from last night. Nothing in the log since this morning. I am testing with debug on...

which tpl you want..how does it know whom to send email....i guess from headr tpl file. but i don't have anything in header tpl file.

Not the TPL, the IPL, default it is iwhome/local/config/wft/solutions/iw_solutions_email.ipl

However you abstract it with get_cmd so I am not certain of the path

Nothing happens. Workflow is executing the email external task. Its not giving any error. But, i am not getting any emails. Not getting anything in logs either.

the IPL looks pretty much unmodified from the OOTB one.. can your process write to the logfiles (maybe a permission issue on the iw-home/tmp/iw_solutions_debug.log)?

and maybe the external task should not be owned by owner = "__TAG__('iw_user');" ??

I usually have an adminID that runs (most of) my external tasks..

just some thoughts..

There must be a permissions issue on the log file, open the permissions to modify for everyone.

The script in debug dumps a lot of data, so it is trying.

Check your email_map.cfg, it should be the form of:

What are the lines above the error ? We need to narrow down what file it was reading, I am assuming it is email_map.cfg

unless cut-and-paste didnt paste correctly, this line looks wrong:

<no user> should probably not get an email, and the ending addr </addr> is missing in all the addresses (well partly there).

post your ccmail_header.tpl and reviewer_mailheader.tpl too..

Hi Deb,

Are you sure, you are reading the email address from email_map.cfg? Though you specify all your email addresses in the email_map.cfg, you can by pass them in your header.tpl, based on the emailmap you specify in the 'from'
