DCR not deleted due to space in filename

Hi Folks,

One of our contributors accidentally created a HTML page with a space in the filename. They have successfully deleted that page, but it has left the DCR (with the same space-filled filename) hanging around.

Considering that this is in a workarea, am I safe to use the O/S to delete this file without corrupting my backing-store? I would expect so, but am just double-checking.

ps. For the record: I will be putting some stuff in so that they won't be able to do this in the future.

deleting the file from workarea would not delete it from teamSite staging. You can delete the file in the workarea from the Content center GUI and submit it through a workflow. If you do not have a workflow you can use "Submit Workflow"

Yes you can delete it from O/S but only deleting from workarea will not delete this file permanentely. You will have to submit it so that it gets deleted from STAGING area as well.

Why not just delete the dcr in the Ts-gui and submit it via the 'Default submit', which imo should always be available for admin's?

Should be the easiest and safest way.

If you are an ADMIN and you do not have access to this particular workarea. You can also create another workarea, do a get latest, delete this DCR, Submit to Staging and then delete this new workarea.
