You can surely assign a unique numeric id with the name of all the new DCRs created. Please explain your requirement as what exactly you want to do.

You want a numeric unique ID or a auto-incremental numbering for your generated content? For unique number, you can also use a combo alphanumeric ID with one unique value of your DCR and a random number being generated in the script itself using perl functions.
