Want to get just one level older version of all the files in a branch. Is it possible to get these in one go. And also want to save the current versions of all the files.

For the latter, just publish an edition of the branch in question and then you need to write a custom script which reads all the files and get them to the last version of each file using CLT iwrevert.

This way you have stored the current version as a snapshot and reverted the files to last version as per your requirement.

Each file's version information is independent of each other files version information - so the statement you're starting with is suspect from the start.

If any of the files are currently modified, and you want to save them - then you need to submit (iwsubmit) them - afterwards, it would probably be best to publish an edition (iwpublish) - then, if you want to revert each file in that workarea 1 version, loop through the list of files and run iwrevert vpath-to-file 1 - whether or not this will actually give you what you want, versus what you think you want - is for you to decide.
