index and file system folder

I am running WorksiteMP 4.1 Hotfix 9

The library index is being created on the local file system

There is a folder called

c:\tmp\FileXFer

That has about 8000 files and is about 8 gig worth of data.

Does anyone know what this is used for and whether or not it can be cleaned. It has data from 2/06 to 10/07 .
I see errors about accessing this folder in the imcms logs and sometimes receive communications issues as well (ex.. "took 44 seconds to access....")
Any feedback would help.

That is the temporary directory for file transfers. You can safely delete anything that is a older than one day.

There was a bug that it was never cleaned up. It should have been fixed. If the directory continues to grow, please report it to support.
