Can't log in after installing TeamSite 6.7.1 SP1

I just installed (clean) TeamSite 6.7.1 & SP1 on a Winsows 2K3 server. I edited the tsusers.xml file adding my username and set ismaster to "yes" and when I try and log in I get "No Such TeamSite User". Not sure what I did wrong here.

Try logging in as local Administrator and use the GUI to add a user.

I am an administrator on that box (ID in the Administrators group) is that not what you are referring to?

use local admin (not your domain login that has admin rights), TS install usually creates that automatically

Did you try doing an iwreset from the command line?
If you get "no such user" error from that - it means the change you made to the tsusers.xml file is either incorrect (not matching your current Windows login) or that you didn't wait long enough for TS to automatically refresh its user cache (generally 1-3 minutes).

Can you post your tsusers.xml file?

Yes I can do an iwreset from the command line and even after the weekend, I still cannot log in.

Did you try to test the user-id with the iwckrole clt:?

iwckrole [-h|-v] role user

If this works you should be able to login with that user. Unless the pw is wrong but then the message would be 'wrong password' instead 'not a teamsite user'.

Are there are any errors while starting interwoven server ? Check the "iwtrace.log" and "iwserver.log" under /local.logs. Also I would do a iw.server stop and start once.

Is there any other authentication you have configured like LDAP, PAM etc ?

Thanks to all that posted to this thread. I have figured out the issue and I am rather embarrassed to admit what the issue was. It seems that in my haste to get this done before I left on Friday and modified the tsusers.xml file I... umm...this is really embarassing. Forgot to remove the comment tags after I copied and pasted the section.

Heh - Well owning up to the mistake is always a good thing.
