Please guide / advice the possibilities or ways to edit the label of System Metadata

Example

(

Category -- to change-- Web Ctegeory

Comment -- to change-- Reviewer comment

Keywords -- to change -- Plan Keywords

Photoshop Headline -- to change-- Indesign Head Line

Photoshop Author -- to change-- Creative Author

etc..

)

Thanks

I do not believe that is possible and not advisable also as I am pretty sure they will get overwritten when upgrading.

The general practice that I have is to include an acronym of the customer name in front of the custom metadata fields so that they are all grouped together when they are displayed.

So in your case I would create new metadata fields such as AAA Web Category, AAA Reviewer Comment etc.

Unfortunately you cannot change the labels for system metadata. However, for grouping metadata in a preferred order, there is a construct called a "metadata group" (see documentation) that specifies a subset of metadata to be displayed and furthermore the metadata group fixes the order overriding the default of alphabetical order.

Yes, its really a shame that you cannot edit the system defined field labels in MediaBin. I've used other systems in the past where you can edit the label (what displays on screen), but the database field name stays the same. Is this a feature that will be added in newer versions?
