Wierd Submit Ambiguity

Ts 6.5 SP2 on Windows. IE6. It weird that this happens once in 50 submissions, my coworker caught this. When he tried to submit a file from his workarea by checking the file and Click "Submit" on top right corner of our TS interface, an email was sent to him which comprised of not only the file he checked but also some additional files for which he doesn't hold the lock.

Is there a possibility of some sort of caching? How can i find out as what happened exactly.

Can any share their experiance to such wierdness.

Is it possible that he did not check the file and submitted ?

IIRC, then the submit will be for any file that is modified in his CWD and below.

You can enable debug in the WF and peruse the XML that was created.

Well he actually checked only one file and submitted,but for some reason 2 more files were automatically submitted, even though he has not checked them.

Well i can turn the debug ON but as i said this problem occurs very very rarely, so the chances of this occuring again when i turn the debugger on is rare too.

Is there any other way to debug this?

Not really unless you check the external tasks. Is this a custom WF with custom tasks ? My WFs always add more files (images, generated HTML, etc) so there is that possibility.

You may want to put some debugging (without turning on the WF debugging), in teh preprocessing, grab the files attached, and dump to a file, maybe the same in external tasks).

You really have 2 choices, dig through the code and see if you can see what is happening, or turn some debugging on and wait and see.

& BTW, isn't it more of an anomaly than an ambiguity ?

Sorry wrong wordings, it Anomaly from my view and that of TeamSIte but from my Co-Worker (Enduser) it is Ambiguity Smiley Wink
