Child workflow waits on "Start Job"

Hi,

TeamSite 6.5 on windows 2000.

I am using nested workflows. The source worfkflow has a wftask that invokes a child workflow. The child workflow does not need any parameters from user and so I was expecting the child workflow to start right away with the first task that is an external task. However the child workflow shows a “Start Job” button. This is not what I want. I mean I don’t want to manually click on the start job button. The workflow should start on its own. Could you please let me know what is needed to get rid of this additional step of clicking a “Start Job” button?

I have attached Parent and child workflows here for your reference.

I have seen similar cases disussed on this forum however I was unable to figure out why my child Workflow still waits on "Start Job". Please help!

If there are no parameters to be filled in - make the nested workflow a job-specification-file instead of a WFT - and I believe it will start immediately. Alternatively, I believe there is an attribute background which:[indent]If background is 't' then TeamSite will attempt to start a job using the wftfile assuming necessary args will be provided in task variables (for details, see documentation for iwwft_compile.pl. If background job creation fails, then the GUI will present the user the option to starintervention).[/indent]
