FormAPI replicant Dynamic Field

I have a replicant and it has 3 fields Radio, DropDown and TextBox.

For A value selected in radio I want to show Dropdown and for B value selected I want to show textbox.

A is suppose to be the default value selected for radio.

my problem is that when I add a replicant (OnReplicantAdded) , I hide textbox using formAPI. But then this textbox never shows up ever again.

There is for sure some bug related to dynamically added field's visiblilty, has anyone faced this problem before?

Can anyone suggest some work around.

For sure - yours. Unfortunately, you have not provided any code whatever to look at.

If you want some help - do so. Post an absolute minimum, just enough to demonstrate the
issue and nothing more. You'll have much better chances of people looking at 20 lines of code
than at 200, 90% of which have nothing to do to the problem at hands anyway.

Here are my code files in zip attachment.

add a new "Related Help Topics" javascript will setvisible false for targeturl textbox. but then you can never make it visible.

if you comment out setShowAndReq fucntion call in AddRelatedHelp function then it will workfine.

You have numerous little problems with your code and two big ones.

First, you do not toggle items' visibility for the existing Containers replicants. What it means is that when you open up
saved DCR your Fields will all show up, no matter what the radio Value. Perhaps you simply postponed that part till the main
portion is fixed.

Second one is the real source of your problems. With the event processing structures you never EVER register event Handlers
on events! (Not unless you are into the heavy wizardry or heavy pain - or both!). I'm talking about 'addItemHandler' within
"add_something" Function that is an Event handler in it's own rights. If you do not understand why that is so you do not
understand event-based processing.

Let's see if you can leverage the sample below to your needs. Note that it's minimalistic. It contains only components I wanted
to illustrate the proper replicants processing technique and absolutely nothing else. Note that critical 'set_ab' Function is called in three(3)
different places, every time with different Replicant Object parameter.

It *should* be fully functional, just try this DCT somewhere[html]

Works flawlessly in my Environment. Your original code doesn't. Have you tried it "as is"? Have you used the Browser other than IE?

Just tested my code in 6.7 - works there as well.

Win 2K3 R2 SP1.

Just tested my code in Interwoven TeamSite 6.5.0 Service Pack 2
Build Number: 51749 works fine in that too. So looks like it is a bug of Interwoven TeamSite 6.7.1.0 Build Number: 60750

I will try to update patches and check.
