Rename Branch

Hi,

I am trying to rename a sub-branch thru perl but each time it is giving ERROR:02100: Illegal name given. However, if i do the same using menu item File > Rename, it got success.

/appl/iwov/iw-home/bin/iwrename 'main/Sub_Branch/NextOne/THEHEAD/071209' 'main/Sub_Branch/NextOne/THEHEAD/OLD_071209'

Does anyone have faced any issue like this ever?

you do not need to supply full path of the subbranch in your second parameter. Just use the new name you want to rename to.

/appl/iwov/iw-home/bin/iwrename 'main/Sub_Branch/NextOne/THEHEAD/071209' 'OLD_071209'
Also, I am not sure if you really need to use quotes for the parameters. So your command should be
/appl/iwov/iw-home/bin/iwrename main/Sub_Branch/NextOne/THEHEAD/071209 OLD_071209

I'd also suggest beginning the vpath with the store name - e.g.: /default/main/...

Thanks Munish, it worked perfect and thats the reason why i prefer to search Devnet prior to read the F*** manuals. Also to mention, the store name is not mandatory to mention while execution.

However, i have checked the TS 6.7 version manuals and it has the updated code.
